About HeartWise

HeartWise is made up of a team of doctors, specialists and professionals who desire to seek the fulfillment of our mission of ministry through healthcare.

Joe Kochis is CEO of HeartWise Ministries. He brings a love of people, family, and God to HWM. He has more than forty years of executive experience. This experience includes leadership positions with the New Jersey State Police, Baptist Retirement Village, and several companies through the years. He has spent time on Wall Street and served in the U.S. Army Special Forces. In the Chattanooga area, Joe has served as the Chattanooga Director for the Family Business Institute. He is a Dale
Carnegie Instructor and active in the Christian Business Men's Committee.
His leadership and executive experience are extensive. What makes Joe
special is his willingness to use his God given executive talents and
experience to further the cause of God.

Joe has been married to Elaine for 47 years. They have two children and
a granddaughter. Joe has lived in the Chattanooga area since 1983. He
has served through the years as Vice President of the Brainard Area
Chamber of Commerce, a deacon at Brainerd Baptist Church, and an
active Rotarian. Joe and Elaine enjoy traveling in their motor home and
spending time with family. Joe provides HeartWise ministries with
executive leadership and vision. God has blessed him with many talents
including a love for people and service both invaluable in his role at
HeartWise Ministries.

James L. Marcum is speaker/director of Heartwise Ministries.
He is a Cardiologist practicing with the Chattanooga Heart Institute.
He is very active in the television, radio, and print arm of Heartwise Ministries. He is married to Sonya and has two children, Kelli (12)
and Jake (8), he enjoys music and outdoor activities.

Tim Kochis is Director of the radio arm of HeartwiseMinistries. He produces and directs, Heartwise: mind, body, and spirit with Charles Mills. This program radio program is heard weekly across North America. He is head of engineering at LifeTalk Radio. A Tennessee native, Tim operates an independent radio station and frequently assists other ministries in engineering projects. Tim is single with an enormous extended family. He loves people, enjoys travel and spending
time with friends.

Michael Bell is Director of Television Ministries for HeartwiseMinistries. He is director of "Bible RX", and the new health program, "At the Heart of Health". He works at LifeTalk and is the director of "Steve Gallimore Live", a daily Christian news journal. These programs are viewed worldwide proclaiming truth. He is married to Heidi. He does not mind cold weather having grown up in Michigan. Michael enjoys home improvement projects, family, outdoor activities,
and fine dining.

Matt Bosley is Director of graphics and advertising for HeartwiseMinistries. His work is viewed daily in the media in the form of advertising, internet, and television graphics. His creative energy is recognized and appreciated. Matt hails originally from Washington, D.C. Matt loves automobiles and enjoys landscaping.

Craig Ammerall a Critical Care Respiratory Therapist knows the importance of optimal pulmonary health, and through his articles will help everyone "breathe better". Craig is also a member of the Heartwise Ministries board and helps shape the vision of the ministry. He is married to Melissa and has two children, Ian (10) and Kayden (7). He enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with God and family.

Charles Mills is the host and creative energy behind the acclaimed radio program Heartwise: mind, body, and spirit. Charles owns and operates Christian communications based in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. This popular and well known host has authored more than forty books, written extensively, and is the former editor of Vibrant Life. Charles has traveled the world and has interviewed leading health experts. His approach to a healing ministry is based on vibrant portraits
of Jesus, revealing the Savior's love through fresh relevant words,
images, and sounds. Charles enjoys photography, music, bird watching
and spending time with his wife, Dorinda.
