Restaurant Review

On a recent trip to Idaho, we decided to see what we could find in the way of vegetarian dining. We found a table at the newly established “Kind Cuisine Café” on Boise. The place had only been open about a month when we visited but they seemed to have already hit their stride and were able to put forth excellent service and a modern eclectic ambiance which I’ve come to find familiar at vegetarian restaurants.
I started by trying their “Heart Beet” juice and discovered that it really packed a punch! It got it’s red color from the beet juice in it, a little sweetness from the apple and carrot, and I think the real punch was from the lime and ginger. Everyone tried it and we decided it probably wasn’t something we’d have every day, though it was fun to try.

As for entree’s, I had the Bounty Slab Burger. It was a great choice for those looking for a healthy sandwich reminiscent of a veggie burger, but perhaps a bit healthier than most. I thought it was quite good and wouldn’t hesitate to order it again. My wife ordered the “Trip to Tico wrap” which she enjoyed. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we’d recommend looking up this restaurant during your next visit to Boise.
The restaurant also offers a “Generosity Plate” which is a custom meal plate which you can then pay whatever you liked for it. The proceeds from your order are then put it towards meals for those who are unable to pay. Kind Cuisine Café is not only investing in the health of their community by offering healthy food choices, but they are also helping get those healthy options to people who can’t necessarily afford it. Big shout out to those running Kind Cuisine Café!
