Delisheeyo

Delisheeyo

Delisheeyo is a great place for lunch if you happen to be on Hilton Head Island. The restaurant is in a small cottage tucked away across from a retail area. Parking is challenging. The cottage is surrounded by a small garden and seating is limited. Take out might be a good idea. We had a Buddha Bowl. You basically pick your plant-based protein source and then add fresh toppings. I chose quinoa, lentils and greens and added some avocados and kale. The strength of this restaurant is freshness and your knowledge of what works for your palate. You then have the opportunity in the bowls to create the tastes you like. A wide variety of healthy beverages is available. The food preparation and actual food can be viewed firsthand for those who like to watch the preparation. The portions are on the small side. The freshness and cozy cottage atmosphere would bring me back for lunch.

Urban Vegan Cafe, Hilton Head Island

Urban Vegan Cafe, Hilton Head Island

It was a surprise during our last visit to Hilton Head Island to find a vegan restaurant, especially one located within a sea food restaurant named Captain Fishy’s. We sat outside in kind of small area with shops close by. I ordered the Eggless Salad Sandwich for $8.95 and my spouse ordered the Burger Bonanza & Quinoa for $12.95 which included a sampling of black, white, lima bean & beet burgers each with their own sauce. Servings were sm – med and tasty. We tried coconut water for the first time & decided that the taste for it would have to be acquired. There was a good variety of items on the menu which would be reason to return on our next visit.
