Restaurant Review

On our trip to Grand Rapids Michigan we found this little eclectic diner in the middle of town called Bartertown.  The decor was a mish mash of items from anywhere and anything. The bar was built with parts of doors, drawers, walls and window frame pieces. We all enjoyed the food, everything was good and freshly prepared.  We started with an appetizer called the “Compost Pile.” I know, doesn’t sound too appetizing, but it was delicious with just the right amount of spice. It was their version of a large nacho plate, with a different twist of crunchy beet slices.  For my main course I had “The Monster”  sandwich which comes with a side of organic blue corn tortilla chips, the taste was wonderful to the palate.  We all enjoyed our meals in a very relaxing atmosphere and the service was excellent.
